I hereby promise:

  • I will not handle guns without permission and supervision of a grown-up that I know

  • I will never play with guns

  • I will not go snooping or allow my friends to go snooping for guns in the house

  • If I find a gun, even if it looks like a toy, I will not touch it; I will tell a grown up I know right away

  • I will obey the rules of safe gun handling

Rules of safe gun handling:

  • Treat all guns like they’re always loaded

  • Always keep the gun in a safe direction (away from people/pets/anything you do not want to harm)

  • Keep your finger off of the trigger and off of the trigger guard until you’re ready to shoot

  • Always be certain of the target and whats around the target

  • Keep the gun unloaded and locked up if it’s not in use
