Course Description:
Join us for an immersive training experience designed for shooters of all levels looking to enhance their skills with red dot optics. This comprehensive course covers the fundamentals of using red dot sights, including sight alignment, target acquisition, and shooting positions. Participants will engage in both classroom instruction and hands-on practice, learning about the advantages of red dot systems, proper mounting techniques, and zeroing procedures. Through dynamic drills and real-world scenarios, you’ll build confidence and proficiency, improving your accuracy and speed. By the end of this course, you’ll have a solid understanding of red dot technology and how to effectively integrate it into your shooting repertoire. Whether for sport, self-defense, or tactical applications, this course will elevate your shooting performance.
Course Requirements:
- $25 RANGE FEE – NO EXCEPTIONS – CASH ONLY
- YOU MUST HAVE YOUR CONCEALED PISTOL LICENSE, OR HAVE TAKEN THE CPL CLASS
- YOUR OWN RED DOT EQUIPPED FIREARM
- 350 ROUNDS OF AMMO FOR YOUR FIREARM
- 3 TO 5 MAGAZINES (5 MAGAZINES IF LESS THAN A 10 ROUND CAPACITY)
- HEARING & EYE PROTECTION
- YOUR OWN HOLSTER (NO SERPA)
- CLOTHING SUITABLE FOR THE WEATHER, BALL CAP, SUNSCREEN, BOTTLED WATER (LOTS OF WATER!!!!!!!)
- HAND TOWEL
- LUNCH

About the Instructor:
Kyle Thompson, the co-owner and lead instructor of Cover Your 6 Firearms Training and Training Director for the National African American Gun Association, brings over a decade in experience from both Military contracting and Law enforcement to the table. Starting back in 2005 as a small arms Firearms Instructor. From there, being contracted as Federal Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. He’s also a Florida State K Licensed certified and a certified NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor. Bringing that knowledge into the private sector, Cover your 6 shooting was started to do what Kyle and his wife Ana truly love, helping people protect themselves and their families from violent encounters. Cover your 6 shooting is based out of Central Florida but travels nationwide to provide training. From his extensive training background, he helped create the Red Dot course for the National African American Gun Association.
