The 50th Anniversary of the National Black Political Convention (NBPC) will convene in the city of Newark, New Jersey August 4-7th, 2022.  It will be co-hosted by Mayors Ras Baraka and Chokwe Antar Lumumba. This will be a memorial to the historic gathering that took place in 1972, and will be a critical space for our movement forward as a people to create a new Black agenda that reflects our current priorities and goals. We hope you will join us in planning this important event.   We believe now is the time, Newark is the place and you are the right people to convene this gathering. 

Some of you have been participating in our Coordinating Committee and/or Working Group  meetings, and some of you have not had the opportunity to do so; and for others this is your first invitation.    During this meeting we will discuss Working Group updates and again offer an opportunity for those of you that have not participated to sign up to join our planning meetings.    If you have any questions please email Ed Riley at erileylaw2020@gmail.com.
